Announcements Page

The Announcements page is one of the most important pages in our site. On this page we will announce any new events, changes to schedules and also changes to the site. Each announcement will also contain links to important related pages on the site. This is a good page to return to regularly. Use the "Email Page" feature to send this page to others.

When we post a new announcement it will appear at the top of the page immediately under this introduction. You can easily scroll down the page to view other announcements as well. If you like you can add your comment to any announcement which, when approved by the site administrotor will appear with the announcement. 

If you have any information to pass on to the members please contact us to let us know and we'll post it to this Announcements page.

All practice times and locations can be accessed by clicking the 'Calendar Tab - Practices'

The times available to date only show the dates for the JV Knights and Peewee Tigercats.

Atom and Tyke times are still to come. When they are available, they will be posted.

There is a seat on the board of directors available after the resignation of Claire Umbrico. Claire will be moving this summer to pursue her studies and must resign her seat. We will be accepting applications until March 8/09. If interested please email you letter of application and resume to Dan Labanowich (club president) at danlabanowich@hotmail.com

At this time we would also like to thank Claire for her tireless effort over the past year. Her consul and hard work will be very difficult to replace.

Hi and thanks to everyone who cam out to our first registration today (Feb 22). We will be holding our second registration on  Sunday March 8th at the North Courtice Community Centre on Courtice road north of hwy 2 in Courtice.

We had a great turn-out for Registration number one. It was always great to see all the familiar faces as well as all the new ones. Make sure you pass on the March 8th dates to all your friends so that they don't miss signing up. Look out for our postcard mailer that will be out soon to remind everyone of the March 8th sign up.

Looking forward to an exciting 2009 season.

                                         2009 Registration Information

Following is information relating to 2009 Registration.

Registration Rate for the 2009 Football Season  ( $400 + $60 mandatory fundraising )

* Special note for 2009. We have expanded our participation in the SCOFL (South Central Ontario Football League) *

Our Peewee  Tigercats will join our bantam Knights in the  SCOFL summer league.

We will still compete in the COMFL fall program with our Tyke, Atom and Peewee teams.

There are some rule differences between the SCOFL and COMFL leagues.

The Peewees will run as one team throughout the summer and fall seasons.

The age cut off will allow some individuals to play down a division for the summer.

Some individuals will be able to play for both summer and fall teams..

The team age breakdowns are as follows:

SCOFL Summer League    

Peewees    13 - 14 yrs (15 yr old eligible if after May 31st)

Knights       15 - 16 yrs (17yr old eligible if after May 31st)

COMFL Fall League

Tykes           7 - 10 yrs  (overage/under weight - 11 yrs if under 90 lbs)

Atoms          11 - 12 yrs (overage/under weight - 13 yrs if under 110 lbs)

Peewees    13 - 14 yrs (overage/under weight - 15 yrs if under 140 lbs)
